WTF is that thing? Just found it on a tomato plant (Taken with Instagram at My back porch)

Definitely a hornworm, which turn into sphinx moths, not butterflies. (But sphinx moths are quite lovely too, aside from their enormous larvae which will eat every member of the nightshade family you know and love.)
